Keeping Up with Technology

Today I watched as my son downloaded a bunch of songs into his new IPod given to him by his sister. You see, she just got a new upgraded version for herself. I marveled to myself how all those songs are packed into such a tiny apparatus. Wait, I left out a step. He first downloaded the songs from his flash drive to the computer - the flash drive - even tinier than the IPod and can hold a whole host of information. So we can store all this information on IPods and Flash Drives and we can put money on cards, so my question is - why do woman still carry enormous purses/bags?
When are we going to be able to put make-up and all the other junk in our purses on some type of small techno gadget? Don't count it out folks. Bill gates and others like him are thinking on a whole other level than you and I. I think the fashion experts are moving in the opposite direction as a matter of fact. Have you seen the latest most-have clutch? Its as big as a suitcase. Never mind the bags that you have to put your arm at a 45-90 degree angle to carry.
But anyway, back to technology. What about all the passwords and user ID's you have to remember. I know, I hear you screaming. It would be ok if we used the same ones all the time, but some pesky programs won't allow it. Because they have our best (security) interest at heart, they have the gall to tell us what kinds of characters to use and not to use. Those are the most irritable kind, aren't they? And, lets not start with the pop-up blockers. How can you get anything done with pop-up blockers? I know they were meant to protect our computers, but they're like an overbearing protective school teacher who won't allow you too much freedom. I learned a trick to by-pass this anyway. But its still a little annoying to have to do the trick to bypass the blocker.
Whats your most annoying techno pet peeves? Post a comment and vent away.......
